What to know about 85-inch TVs
An 85-inch TV is nearly 6½ feet wide and often over 100 lb. Two people lift it, a wide bracket spans at least two studs, and the wall should be checked for bow — a slight curve that's invisible with a picture frame shows up behind a perfectly flat screen. If you sit closer than about 9 feet, the screen will fill your view like a theater; that's the point for some people and too much for others.
Typical rooms for this size: large open-plan rooms, game rooms and theaters.
