What to know about 58-inch TVs
Fifty-eight inches is an in-between size sold mainly in value ranges. It’s worth knowing about for one reason: width. A 58 is about 51 inches wide, some six inches narrower than a 65, which can be the difference between fitting inside a fireplace surround or between two windows and not fitting at all.
Because it’s less common, brackets rarely list 58 specifically; any mount covering 55 to 65 inches with the right VESA pattern and weight rating is correct. Hole patterns vary more than usual at this size, so measure the back of the TV rather than trusting a chart.
Typical rooms for this size: living rooms where a 55 feels small and a 65 won’t fit.
