What to know about 50-inch TVs
Fifty inches is the classic apartment living-room size and a generous bedroom TV. At this size the mount starts to matter for looks: a slim fixed bracket keeps it under two inches off the wall, which reads as a picture frame rather than a box. If your couch sits more than about nine feet away, consider whether a 55 or 65 would serve you better before you mount.
Typical rooms for this size: smaller living rooms, bedrooms and apartments.
