What to know about 55-inch TVs
The 55-inch is one of the best-selling sizes and fits most living rooms without dominating them. It's also the size where people most often regret going small — for a couch 8 to 10 feet back, it looks fine on day one and small by month two. If the wall can take a bit more width, measure for a 65 before deciding.
Typical rooms for this size: living rooms and larger bedrooms.
