What to know about 70-inch TVs
The 70-inch class sits just below the far more common 75 and is often priced attractively for that reason. It’s about 61 inches wide — four inches narrower than a 75 — which helps on walls broken up by windows or doorways.
This is the size at which we stop considering a single stud: the bracket goes into two, and on a full-motion mount a wide wall plate is worth having. It also crosses into our 66–85″ labor tier ($144), where the lift is planned as a two-person job for heavier models. From nine to eleven feet away, a 70 gives a properly cinematic picture.
Typical rooms for this size: large living rooms and bonus rooms.
