Full-motion mounts, for rooms you watch from more than one spot

A full-motion (articulating) arm lets the TV pull away from the wall, swing left or right and tilt. It's the right choice when you watch from the kitchen and the couch, when the TV goes in a corner, or when the only studs are off to one side.

Arms put far more leverage on the wall than a flat mount, so stud anchoring isn't optional — and the arm needs to be adjusted after hanging so the TV stays level when it swings. The full-motion bracket is $89.

What's included

  • Heavy-duty articulating arm sized for your TV's weight and VESA pattern
  • Anchoring into studs (two studs for medium and large TVs)
  • Post-install level adjustment and tension setting
  • Cable slack left so the TV can swing without pulling plugs

How we do it

  1. Check the reach

How far the TV needs to come out decides the arm length.

  2. Bolt to studs

All the leverage ends up on these bolts.

  3. Hang and adjust

Arms sag a little under load; we correct it so the screen sits level.

  4. Dress the cables

Loose enough to swing, neat enough to look intentional.

Questions about full-motion (articulating) mounts

Can a full-motion mount go in a corner?

Yes — a long arm lets the TV sit across the corner. See our corner mounting guide.

Are arms safe for big TVs?

Within the arm's rating and anchored into studs, yes. For 75″ and up we use dual-stud arms.

Will it sag over time?

Good arms have tilt tension screws; we set them, and they can be re-tightened in a minute.
