Mounting a Samsung Frame TV
The Frame is sold on one promise: on the wall, it looks like framed art. Getting that look depends less on the TV and more on three installation decisions — the mount, the box and the cable.
The slim-fit wall mount
Most Frame models ship with their own Slim Fit wall mount in the box. It holds the TV nearly flush, with almost no gap, and is the mount the art look relies on. It's a fixed mount: no tilt, a small amount of levelling adjustment after hanging.
Things to know:
- It needs a flat wall. On a bowed wall the flush fit shows every curve.
- It's designed for wood studs; other walls need different fasteners, as with any bracket.
- Check your exact model and year: mount details have changed between generations, and the largest sizes differ.
Can you use a different mount?
Yes. The Frame has standard VESA holes, so a regular tilt or full-motion mount works — you just give up the flush look. Samsung and others also make no-gap tilting and recessed options for specific models.
The One Connect box
Instead of ports on the TV, the Frame uses a separate One Connect box that holds the inputs and power. A single thin cable runs from the box to the TV. That's what makes the clean look possible — and it means you need a home for the box:
- in the console or cabinet below the TV,
- on a shelf in a nearby closet if the cable reaches (check the supplied length; longer cables are sold separately),
- in a recessed media box in the wall behind or below the TV.
The box needs ventilation and access for plugging things in. Don't seal it inside a wall cavity with no airflow.
Hiding the cable
The One Connect cable carries power as well as signal, which matters:
- Follow Samsung's guidance for your model on in-wall use; versions rated for in-wall installation exist for some generations, while a standard cable should not simply be buried in a wall cavity.
- The simple, always-acceptable route is a paintable cord cover or running the cable down behind furniture.
- A recessed box behind the TV with the One Connect box inside avoids a visible cable entirely where depth allows.
Height: hang it like art?
Art is hung with its centre around 57 inches from the floor; TVs are comfortable lower, near 42 inches for seated viewing. Decide which role wins. Most people settle slightly above TV height — and it still reads as art when it's off.
Over a fireplace
Very common for the Frame. The usual checks apply — heat and viewing angle — covered in our fireplace guide. A flush mount can't tilt, so sit back far enough.
The bezel and the light sensor
Custom bezels snap on magnetically after mounting. Keep the light sensor at the bottom edge unobstructed so Art Mode adjusts to the room.
